Iceland – Northwest
Long day on the road. We didn’t make many stops as we weren’t particularly interested in the recommended ones. We did stop at the turf building museum at Glaumbaer, and a turf church nearby. Icelanders, due to a scarcity of building materials, built their houses/buildings from turf. Then we saw a pair of waterfalls – Hraunfossar falls – one of my favourites as the water flows under the lava fields and doesn’t appear until it cascades down – and Barnafoss.
